Hittin’ the Road

Posted on September 27, 2010October 14, 2010 by Heather

Today I leave for the UK on our first Annual CraftLit tour.

To say I’m giddy with excitement is a dramatic understatement. I haven’t been to the UK in ages and this time I get to go with The Husband (and a bunch of crafty bookish types). The husband and I never really got a Honeymoon (lo those 14 years ago) so this will be nice.

Not only will I have the opportunity to see old friends–and new ones–but I’ll also have the chance to see some  familiar places (Stonehenge, Avebury, London, Bath) and go to some new places I’ve always wanted to see, like Wales.

Getting packed, however, was something of a Keystone Cops skit. It took three days (not full time, thank God) and a lot of vacuuming. (I vacuum sealed one of those space saver bags–not for my things but gifties for my traveling companions). Once I offload the gifties, I’ll have quite a lot of space in my luggage.

Perhaps filled with gifts from the Distillery? Hmmmm
